The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is the program for adults who would like to become fully initiated Catholics. Students in OCIA prepare for the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and First Communion.
Students can join at any time!

Eligibility
18 years of age or older
Resident of Livermore or neighboring cities
Register as a parishioner at St Michael Catholic Church
Requirements
Attend Mass every Sunday and Holy Days of Obligation
Participate in Tuesday evening and Sunday afternoon online classes
Join periodic in-person gatherings
Length of Program
There is not a set program length, as conversion is a highly individual experience
Minimum of 12 months, but some cases require a longer preparation
Registration Process
You will be contacted to schedule an appointment with a priest (virtual or in-person)
Submit $150 registration fee
