Prayers for World Mission Sunday

October 20, 2016 - 10:00am
World Mission Sunday
And Our Special Intentions

Today’s Psalm helps us see how important each of us is to the Lord, especially when we are in need: “The Lord hears the cry of the poor.... The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; and those who are crushed in spirit He saves” (Psalm 34:18-19). In our own families and neighborhoods, we can think of those who need our listening hearts, our kind compassion. Those in our mission family cry out also for the Lord’s caring and peace.       Pontifical Mission Society www.propfaith.net

Special Intentions

That World Mission Day may renew within all Christian communities the joy of the Gospel and the responsibility to announce it.  We pray to the Lord…

For all who have suffered injury or death as a result of Hurricane Matthew, and for their families and loved ones.  We pray to the Lord...

For all who have sustained losses in the storm, that they may know God's healing and care in those to whom they turn for assistance.  We pray to the Lord…

For the repose of the souls of  Peter Hyczar, Antoinette Tejada and Eleanor Sahlin, and for all the souls in purgatory. We pray to the Lord...
