Father Poon was born April 14, 1927 in Shanghai, China.
He was ordained a priest in the Salesian Order in Naples on March 28, 1962
Between 1962 - 1971, he worked as a Salesian priest in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan
On February 10, 1982 he began service as Associate Pastor at Assumption Parish, San Leandr
On, June 1, 1985, he became Associate Pastor at St. Michael, Livermore
He was incardinated in the Diocese of Oakland – Feb 13, 1986
He retired on June 1, 1996
